Gucci released its latest advertising campaign for their Jackie collection. The fashion house has abandoned exotic locales and color, preferring instead to keep it simple.

Polish beauty Anja Rubik stars in this basic black shoot captured by the legendary photographic duo Inez van lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin. But the main focus is that gorgeous Jackie handbag.

This season’s Jackie maintains its famous bamboo details, but there are some exciting changes for bagistas. Gucci has experimented with leathers, releasing a gorgeous metallic with a violet hue, and black and khaki python purses. It’s also available in a new size, giving purse fans even more choice.

Dolce & Gabbana is embracing the digital age with the launch of its new online store.

The website sells the Italian fashion label’s famous collections, including Dolce & Gabbana handbags, apparel and other accessories. Stylistas from 31 countries, including the United States, United Kingdom, and a range of smaller European markets, will be able to buy their favorite D & G bags from the comfort of their own home.

“The online boutique is like a game. It’s a fun and immediate way to shop, without space or time limitations. We are confident it will get people even closer to D and G’s dynamic universe,” Stefano Gabanna said.

As the website doesn’t have the overheads of regular retail outlets, Dolce & Gabbana is offering a 20% discount on all online sales.

“The idea is to peel off the superfluous because there are too many clothes, too many seasons, too much advertising, too much of everything that is tacked onto the final price. We want to go back to how things were 20 years ago. It’s about drawing the line. This is the only way to save the market and our companies. It’s time to turn the page,” added Domenico Dolce explained.

I’ll bet most of us don’t care why we’re saving money. It’s just wonderful to enjoy the discounts.
