One of the key trends of the Valentino collection for spring-summer 2010 is surely embodies quela leat the ruffles, the romantic crags on which Pier Paolo Piccioli and Maria Grazia Chiuri have built part of the collection. It would be simplistic to interpret a whole collection based on this trend, as the spring-summer 2010 Valentino is all this but much, much more. E ‘but the undeniable passion of the two designers for ruffles today so we offer a look that includes jacket, skirt, shoes and bag based on this trend.

The ruffles and plissettatture details are among the greatest in the collections of many designers: just yesterday we brought you a roundup of designer shopping and advice.

One brand that has more interpretations of this trend is certainly Valentino, after the steamy and romantic Petal Valentino handbag has decided to devote an entire collection of ruffles, flounces and voltant soft and sinuous.

The look that we propose today perfectly embodies this trend. Maybe wear every single item that we show today is a bit ‘too much, but definitely appreciate. Valentino fact offers a leather jacket and a skirt taupe embroidered details with soft ruffles that run the length of the heads vertically. Combination that makes it even more with Rouches Napa Hobo, available in ivory or black.

A touch of romance is also given by the Fairy Tale sandals in leather and organza, which seem to embody the quintessence of spring.

I, along with most of the handbag loving world, really fell in love with the new rose and bow themed Valentino bags. But I still favor the Histoire Bag since seeing Angelina Jolie and Zahara carrying matching versions of this Valentino bag. I believe a lots of ladies just like me who adore the mother-daughter version of the bag. This Valentino handbag by no means looks dainty, so it is a great mix of feminine colors on bold handbag. The topstitching is done in black and there is gold tone hardware. The braided leather details and two front flap pockets are integral parts of the Histoire and make it what it is. Typically these aspects were a tad overpowering, but with the feminine colors it tones it all down perfectly.

Handbag of the Day – May 29, 2009

Valentino Vertigo

The Vertigo collection of the Valentino bags has the rippling rose molded out of the leather.  The “petals” flow across the leather so smoothly that they almost seem to be in motion, and they cascade to the bottom in delicate ruffles. I don’t know what to say except maybe “wow”. The smooth sheen of the leather is the perfect balance of soft and durable.  This Valentino handbag really looks like an artwork in its own right.

The shape of the Valentino bag is that of a traditional tote, but it doesn’t really matter, because the rose distracts you from everything behind it. It’s a great size for your next super chic shopping trip. And the rolled leather handles are durable and well-shaped, it might be har to sling this tote over your shoulder. It’s really meant for hand carrying, which could get tiring if you fill it to the top.

Valentino’s Nuage bow bag is a darling adored by millions

It’s a commonplace to say so, but it’s really hard to go wrong with Valentino handbags. I mean, if you can afford him, that is. Valentino bags are combination of elegant invention and timeless design. Every Valentino handbag is an instant classic, and the Nuage hobo is certainly no exception.

The traditional hobo shape is modernized by the gently squared-off bottom, and the thick, long single strap we’ve come to expect from the hobo is replaced by two delicate rolled leather handles with an 8.5″ drop. Perfect for holding by hand or slinging over your shoulder, and it won’t flop around like so many hobos with too long straps.

I love the subtle glaze on the leather, and the way the tiny, shiny gold logoplate is set off against the dark matte material. My favorite part of the Nuage, though, is the big black leather bow, which adds interest to the side of the bag, and is a feminine, but not too precious, touch.

The 14″ x 11.5″ x 9″ size makes it roomy enough for day, but there is something delicate about the Nuage that makes it feel evening appropriate as well. The pleating adds volume to the already luxuriously-sized exterior, and I love the minimal seams that doesn’t distract from its smooth front. The top features a hidden magnetic closure, and there are inside zip pockets to keep your valuables in place.

Victory Ford carried gold snake skin Nuage on the Lipstick Jungle show.
